However, to ensure that BE 6 and XEV 9e are more affordable, Mahindra has included the 79-kWh battery pack in the Pack 2 variant of the electric vehicles. It appears that this shift by the brand is based on the consumer demand trend which the company has noticed since the introduction of both SUVs. Some time ago, the brand had reported to have received more than 75 per cent of all bookings in the costly Pack 3 variants, which in the longer run, were harmful to the sales volume.

The Mahindra BE 6 Pack Two that previously had a price of Rs 26.50 lakh (ex-showroom) gets reduced to Rs 23.50 lakh (ex-showroom) with the help of the 79 kWh battery pack. The same case is open with the XEV 9e, where the 79kWh battery pack has dropped in price by a substantial margin to Rs 24.50 lakh (ex-showroom) when compared to the XEV 9e on Pack 2. This version that comes with the 79kWh battery pack goes up to 500km range and 59kWh goes up to 400km.

Pack Two has two models that have a list of features, including Harman Kardon 16-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos, full glass roof, and Level 2 ADAS capabilities. Owners of the XEV 9e will be delighted with a wide cinemascope triple display, where buyers of BE 6 can be spoilt with a race inspired digital cockpit. Also, Mahindra is using the sage leatherette interiors of Pack Three in the BE 6 Pack Two and an ivory roof color to enhance the new level of beauty.

These electric SUVs are created to store both performance and convenience in design. Their power output of 210 kW in the 79 kWh or 170 kW on the 59 kWh model and options such as Boost Mode makes them an exciting drive. In addition, the two models (BE 6 and XEV 9e Pack Two) are fitted with the superfast charging technology which allows them to have a 20-80 per cent battery recharging within 20 minutes when fast DC chargers are applied.

Honda Cars India has reported its June of 2025 sales. The Japanese carmaker recorded a rise in the local sales.

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), a major car producer in India recorded the total sales of 5,124 units in June'25. The company sold 4,618 units within the domestic market and 506 units abroad. In May 2025, the company recorded the total sales of 5,985 units in May25. The company sold 3,950 units in within the domestic markets and 2,035 units outside its markets

Commenting on the sales, Mr. Kunal Behl Vice President Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. stated, "we too were able to see a moderate growth in sales in the month as compared to the same period last year, in the face of the slowing market conditions and anxious consumer psyche, we have continued to tactfully temper our dispatches this month to optimize stock levels in the dealer network." We continue to be bullish in terms of a marginal positive increment in demand going ahead in next few months aided by positive monsoon and festive season."

What is more, yet another 4 new SUVs will be introduced in the Indian market until 2030. Previously, the brand had confirmed that the Elevate EV will be the first on this list, but the manufacturer has since confirmed that the plans to introduce it have been thrown over board. Rather, a completely new electric SUV nameplate will be introduced in the Indian market and this will have a length of greater than 4 meters. We are eagerly waiting it to be the Honda e:NY1 which can be bought in overseas.

Moreover, few products could be also introduced in India by the brand through CBU route. But, there are rumours huffing and puffing around that Honda Civic Type-R could also make its way to the Indian market to competitively battle with Volkswagen Golf GTI, although in limited supply.
